Recipe: Smoked Cream Cheese
PREP TIME: 15 minutes
COOK TIME: 2 hours
SERVES: 8 people
INGREDIENTS:
2 bricks cream cheese
Optional but suggested: your favorite pepper jelly
Supplies:
Smoker or oven
STEPS:
Load hickory pellets in smoker.
Preheat smoker to 225°.
Remove bricks of cream cheese from refrigerator.
Unwrap and score each brick.
Use a spatula to carefully place each brick in one half of the half steam pan.
Sprinkle bbq rub evenly over each brick. Do both bricks the same or use a different rub on each for a little variety.
Add - uncovered - to Traeger at 225° for 2 hours.
Remove and top or serve alongside pepper jelly.
Serve with heavy crackers like Wheat Thins, Triscuits, or Pita Chips
