Recipe: Smoked Cream Cheese

PREP TIME: 15 minutes

COOK TIME: 2 hours

SERVES: 8 people

STEPS:

  1. Load hickory pellets in smoker.

  2. Preheat smoker to 225°.

  3. Remove bricks of cream cheese from refrigerator.

  4. Unwrap and score each brick.

  5. Use a spatula to carefully place each brick in one half of the half steam pan.

  6. Sprinkle bbq rub evenly over each brick. Do both bricks the same or use a different rub on each for a little variety.

  7. Add - uncovered - to Traeger at 225° for 2 hours.

  8. Remove and top or serve alongside pepper jelly.

  9. Serve with heavy crackers like Wheat Thins, Triscuits, or Pita Chips
